On 25th March, the Seminar «Law, Freedom of Belief and Interculturality: Some Current Issues» took place in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law at the University of Zaragoza, organised by LICREGDI.
Distinguished speakers participated in matters of great interest and relevance. Firstly, Prof. Dr. Rafael Valencia Candalija from the University of Seville gave a lecture on religious freedom in sport. A highly topical subject on which he is an expert and which aroused numerous concerns among the audience, especially considering the recent Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Next, Mr. David Giménez, a Civil Guard in Zaragoza, addressed the topic of immigration, inclusion, and security. This topic was also of great interest, dealing with current issues and conflicts, and offering perspectives and knowledge from his professional experience, with numerous reflections that led to an extensive question and answer session.
The days were aimed at first-year Law degree students, but we also highlight the attendance of representatives from religious communities in Aragon due to their interest.
