Last Wednesday, 17th April, saw the inaugural session of the first edition of the Interuniversity Master's Degree in Religious Pluralism, Law, and Society. This programme is offered jointly by the University of Zaragoza, the University of Extremadura, and the Rovira i Virgili University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Rafael \u00c1lvarez Gimeno, Vice-Dean of Academic Organisation at the Faculty of Law (University of Zaragoza), as well as the Masters Directors: Dr. Zoila Combal\u00eda Sol\u00eds (University of Zaragoza), Dr. Jordi Moreras Palenzuela (Rovira i Virgili University), and Dr. Jaime Rossell Granados (University of Extremadura).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this, the inaugural lecture was delivered by Dr. Jaime Rossell Granados, Professor of State Ecclesiastical Law (University of Extremadura), entitled: \u201cThe Need for Governance in the Management of Pluri-religious Societies\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, there was a practical session on the operation of the ADD-Moodle teaching platform, study planning and matters of interest, given by Dr. Bel\u00e9n Causap\u00e9 Gracia (University of Zaragoza).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Numerous collaborators of LICREGDI also attended the opening ceremony, to whom we express our gratitude once again for their attendance and commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, this Master's degree has been offered as a postgraduate course with five editions, under the name: Diploma of University Extension in Religion and Law in democratic society: challenges of convivencia in a plural context. Students who have completed this course have the option to take the Master's degree by validating modules I and II, only needing to complete modules III and IV on research initiation and an additional training program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is noteworthy that the Master's course has been very well received by students, who are clearly interested in continuing their training in this field of great importance in today's societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
