We live in a plural society. Religious, ideological, cultural, and ethnic heterogeneity is one of the defining characteristics of the modern world. Law, as the guarantor of justice and peaceful social coexistence, cannot stand aside from this reality. It is necessary to carry out solid legal reflection that allows for the harmonisation of the different interests that may come into conflict, ensuring the freedom and equality of all citizens and the groups they belong to, and ultimately ensuring social peace and stability. On this occasion, as on previous ones, the Laboratory for Freedom of Belief and Diversity Management at the University of Zaragoza aims to contribute constructive ideas on this subject. This international event brings together personalities of recognised prestige from the academic and political fields, as well as representatives of different religious denominations, ethnic groups, and social movements. The aim is to gain a comprehensive view of the situation of religious, ideological, and conscience freedom, as well as cultural rights, in Spain and in our neighbouring countries. Once again, the Laboratory aims to be a meeting point between society, the University, and public administration.
