8th International Conference on Freedom of Religion or Belief

On 18 March, the VIII International Conference on Freedom of Belief was held in the Great Hall of the Faculty of Law. The conference was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, the Director-General for Equal Opportunities of the Government of Aragon, and the Director of the Laboratory for Freedom of Belief and Diversity Management.

The opening conference addressed current challenges to equality, after which the first panel discussed the theme of women and religion: empowerment or submission? Later in the afternoon session, the panel tackled the theme of ideology, religion, and conflicts in colonial and post-colonial history, concluding the Day with a brief presentation of a collaborative project with Princeton University on religion, women, and international relations.

The event was a success and anticipation is already high for the next edition.
