Working meeting with the Government of Aragon + workshop on legislative changes with representatives of religious confessions

On 3 October, the Laboratory of Freedom of Belief and Diversity Management participated in the working group organised by the Government of Aragon, specifically by the new Director General for Equal Opportunities, Ms. María Victoria Alquézar. Representatives of the religious communities present in the territory of Aragon attended this working group.

As it is an activity with temporal continuity, in addition to the presentation of the current state of affairs and the challenges facing religious communities, follow-up has also been carried out after the two previous discussions.

The working group clearly promotes an optimal environment in which the necessary interfaith dialogue with the Autonomous Government can take place. The Laboratory thus serves as a link to foster an open climate of collaboration in which current challenges are addressed and solutions are proposed.

Once again, the reception has been magnificent, both by the predisposition of the new Director General for Equal Opportunities, and by the representatives of religious denominations, who have been the true protagonists of the activity.

We await the following edits, while work will be done on the issues that have been highlighted.

Following the working group organised by the Directorate-General for Equal Opportunities, once the Director-General had left the LAAB room, the opportunity was taken, while all the representatives were gathered, to inform them about recent developments in the legal regulation of religious phenomena in a workshop. This is in accordance with the theoretical exposition in the first day of September 18, within the framework of the activity Religion and Public Space: 1st Dissemination Conference on Developments in Legal Regulation
